As philanthropy moves toward more strategic approaches to tackling complex social problems in diverse communities, evaluators require new skills and tools to help organizations be more effective, manage complexity, and successfully engage with local stakeholders. During his presentation, Efrain Gutierrez will provide attendees with the opportunity to: Learn how to develop an organization-wide strategy for evaluation and learning in organizations. Use a framework to evaluate collective impact efforts (or other complex place-based work). Discover the power of storytelling to develop empathy and communicate evaluation findings. Discuss recommendations about how to be more culturally competent when working with the Latino community in the US.
