Join us as we examine designing, implementing, and using evaluation.

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2018

Contact the conference planning committee with any questions at Jenny.McCulloughCosgrove@asu.edu

Proposals are sought for presentations, skill-building workshops, round-table discussions, and poster sessions for the following conference tracks:

  • 1)    External evaluation and research professional focused
  • 2)    Program administration and internal evaluation/monitoring focused

We encourage submissions from different disciplines and focus areas on a variety of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • ·         Working with complexity in systems
  • ·         Program + evaluation exemplars
  • ·         Participatory work
  • ·         Social justice evaluation
  • ·         Program staff and evaluator relationships
  • ·         Developing internal evaluation tools
  • ·         Building internal evaluation capacity in a program
  • ·         Innovations in indicator development and measurement

Format Options:

Conference sessions include concurrent sessions, facilitated roundtable discussions, and a poster session.

Concurrent breakout sessions can be in the format of topic presentation, brief skill-building workshop, or panel discussion. All concurrent sessions will be approximately 75 minutes long.

Roundtable discussions provide a more personal and interactive setting for exploring a topic. Round table leaders faciliate substantive discussions or small group activities. These discussions accommodate up to 10 participants, are limited to two discussion leaders, and cannot accommodate any technology beyond a battery-powered laptop computer. Numerous roundtable discussions take place simultaneously in the same area.

Posters will be displayed at the informal cocktail hour that takes place the evening before the conference and during the conference programming. A gallery session during conference programming is scheduled to provide an informal opportunity to network and share research or programming with all conference participants.

Submission Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to conference topic and appeal to conference participants. We are seeking a wide range of presentation topics relating to evaluation implementation and use.

Although the conference committee will make every effort to honor your requested format option, the committee may recommend an alternate format in order to accept as many proposals as possible.
